Lovely Sale Findings :)

Another successful grocery shopping trip, my supermarket never fails when it comes to finding some makeup at great discount :)

This time I managed to find a few items from Isadora's 2014 Holiday Collection called Mesmerizing. I didn't see any of the lovely palettes anymore but the Twist-Up Blush&Go highlighter stick was still around at a reasonable price 4,50€. Also the nail polish in Vintage Gold was only 2,00€. I really love a good bargain..!

The most exciting product for me was this creamy Twist-Up Blush&Go. It's not really a blush, more like a highlighter, it gives only a tiny hint of color. I didn't really need it and usually I'm not a fan of creamy highlighters or blushes, but I just couldn't resist... :)

The consistency is very nice, it's easy to apply and blend. I must say that it is on the glittery side, so I would use this with a light hand and blend really carefully. It has a very light peachy pink tint to it, but the color is almost invisible to the eye once you blend it out.

I really like the almost lipbalmy consistency of these Twist-Up Gloss Sticks, this one is called Pink Lady. I'm not sure if it was a part of some past collection or a color that's been discontinued, all I know is that I got it for 5,00€. It's a sheer bright pink color, gives a nice hue of color to my lips but is not too bright. And feels great on the lips too :) Because the daylight is limited still, I apologise for the poor swatch picture.

I didn't really need any more nail polish but the prices were too nice to pass. Lumene released some time ago a Frosted Matt collection and this color was part of it. I paid only 3,00€ for it and the color looked so nice for the summer know. And the Isadora Wonder Nail in Vintage Gold looked just amazing.

This haul made me happy. I'm sure going to visit the grocery store more often :)

Review: Lumene Longwear Blur Foundation! Light Ivory

Another great foundation for fair skin? Yes, please. This Longwear Blur Foundation from Lumene came out last fall, but as always, I thought there's not going to be a matchig shade for my skin and forgot all about it. But once I ended up swatching it and realised that they do have a pretty light shade called Light Ivory, I had to take it home :)

Usually I do my research pretty well before purchasing a new foundation or pretty much any product, but this time I did it the other way around. After some quality time with Google I found out that this foundation is silicone based and evens out pores and fine lines nicely. Also it was said to be great for oily skin..which makes me really happy.

This is what Lumene promises this foundation to be. Also taking a closer look at the ingredients list you can see that the bluring effect is based mainly on silicones. My skin doesn't mind silicones, I use a matifying primer under my foundation most of the times and it's fine.

The consistency is on the thicker side! I don't mind a thicker foundation, that usually means more coverage.

The color match is pretty good! It definitely is fair enough and it's neutral based. I also find that it doesn't change color during the day, which is good.

As you can see, I have a lot of discoloration going on, some old acne scars and pigmentation problems so I need my foundation to be at least medium coverage. Longwearing Blur Foundation does a pretty good job! This is only the foundation, no concealer or powder. I can see some blending issues close to my jaw line, this time I applied the foundation with my fingers so maybe a brush would have been better for blending in that area.

The coverage is great, it's at least medium and can be built up to full coverage. I must say that I need quite a lot of product to achieve the coverage I want, so this small tube is not going to last for long. Also because it is on the thicker side I find that it's not the most easiest foundation to blend. But it looks amazing and it does blur out my pores a little. The finish to me is semi matte. You can wear it without powdering but because I have oily skin I like to add a light layer of powder. What comes to it being longwearing, I don't think this is anything special in that department. I have to blot at least a few hours after applying, the time depends on the primer I'm wearing. But definitely works for oily skin just fine! I don't see any major wearing off during the day.

This retails around 15€ here in Finland, not bad for a such a good quality product. If you need a medium to full coverage foundation, I highly recommend to try this one out! Also if you have fair skin and have trouble finding light shades, this shade 0 Light Ivory is something you need to swatch.

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer in 51 Light Radiance

A beauty junkie always seeks for new things to try, eventhough one may have already found the perfect product. I've been using Maybelline FitMe concealer for my under eye area for a long time but still I was intrigued to try a new concealer. I've also wanted to try something from Bourjois for some time now. If you watch a lot of Youtube beauty videos like I do, you can't avoid from hearing about Bourjois.

I decided to get Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer mainly because it seemed to come in a very light shade that would be great for my pale complexion. I believe it's meant to be used mainly in the under eye area because it says "Radiance & Anti-fatique", so that was exactly something I was looking for. Also it's said to be oil-free and moisturising. Sounds good! I ordered mine from

As it was delivered to me I was surprised that it's actually more on the yellow side. Yellow toned concealer would be good covering redness but many times the under eye area can look a bit blue and that's why a peach or salmon toned concealer works better in that area. I also have some redness in that area so I thought it could still work. I chose the lightest shade 51 Light Radiance. It is actually is quite fair!

As you can see, it looks pretty yellow against my relatively neutral and pale skin.

As it looks nice and pigmented in these pictures, I must say that it's more sheer compared to the FitMe. This one lighter in consistency and is not as creamy or as easy to blend. It doesn't cover up my dark circles completely and, unfortunately, I must say that this concealer is not that good in covering my red areas either. For my under eye area I desperately need a really creamy and pigmented concealer and this unofortunately is not enough for me. However, it feels nicely moisturising, so if you don't have that much to cover and you look for moisturising properties in a concealer, I can see this working for you.

One other thing that keeps me from liking this concealer is that it has a pretty strong scent to it. It's not a bad scent but it is quite strong, and I prefer my concealer and foundation mildly scented or scent free. Just something that you might want to take into consideration if you don't like scented products.

What I do like is that it's around 10€. I will try and use this up, maybe mix it with my FitMe. It's not that bad that I would throw it away :)
