NOTD: O.P.I. My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!

A new baby has arrived! It's very rare that I would pay full price for an OPI polish here in Finland because they are so expensive here, around 17€. This time I just couldn't resist, it was just impossible. My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours from the Euro Centrale collection is sooo pretty. Lovely and gorgeous! Anyone with me?

It's a lovely coral red color, a little bit on the orangy side. It has very fine microshimmer in it that only can be seen in the sunlight. Makes the polish look very shiny! It was impossible to capture it in a photo. This is perfect for the summer, goes without saying!

The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that my mani started chipping the next day. It might have been that there was some residue from my hand lotion on my nails, I'm not sure. I hope that was it! I will try again today and report back... :)

Haul time! Urban Decay haul :)

My time on a budget is now successfully over, at least for now, so I may have gone a little crazy and hauled me some new beauty products. Here's the first part for you, and yes, it's all Urban Decay!

After trying so many (bad or only decent) face primers, I decided, after a long time apart, to go back to my all time favourite De-slick in a tube mattifying gel.

It still works like a charm! The only thing I don't like is the ridiculously small tube, only 20 ml of product for around 20€. But I will pay gladly because it helps me a lot and makes my life easier, so why not.

Another product that I've missed in my makeup routine a lot was a setting spray. I got the De-slick version this time since I have super oily skin. A review is coming later but so far it's working just great! It was also around 20€.

My Too Faced Shadow Insurance ran out so I decided to go back to UDPP. One reason was that Shadow Insurance has become really expensive since the last time I purchased it. UDPP was cheaper and it was just time for some change.

This De-slick Mattifying Powder was an impuls buy. I needed a new powder but I've always thought that drugstore brand powders do the job as well as more expensive ones. I just wanted to splurge a little after a long time of no-buy. If this powder helps to keep oil at bay, and I'm very sceptical that it would, it's a plus. I love the packaging! Looks and feels very high end. I will review this powder later too.

I'm very pleased with my haul :)

Review: Lumene Blueberry Eyebrow Fixing Gel!

I have wild and quite full brows so I need to set them with a fixing gel. If I don't, they live a totally different life of their own. I've used MAC's Brow Fix for a long time but I'm always looking for cheaper alternatives. Clear mascara would be one, but for some reason we don't have clear mascaras here in Finland, at least I haven't found one in years.

Lumene came out with a budget friendly clear brow gel some time ago. I paid around 7€ of mine and I must say, I have been pleased!

I like the tiny, narrow brush. It gives my brows some definition and separation. It applies just the right amount of gel with one stroke. Lovely :)

Lumene Blueberry Brow Fixing Gel beats MAC's Brow Fix in my opinion. It holds my brows in place the whole day and my brows still feel soft and don't look clumped. The price is great too! I will definitely repurchase this one.

Review: Maybelline The Colossal Volum'Express Waterproof Mascara!

I'm always looking for new mascaras to try, especially mascaras that promise to give my lashes some extra volume and definition. As you may know  I only use waterproof mascara so usually the selection to choose from is limited, not every mascara is available in waterproof.

While looking for a new mascara I realised I hadn't used The Colossal from Maybelline in years! I used it back then when it first came out but forgot about it then. Now years later I  repurchased  it and I'm glad I did!

Colossal has a big, regular soft brush. I wasn't expecting it to give me any massive results or fine definition but it turned out to be quite nice! It promised to give my lashes "up to 7 x more volume" and "no clumps". Well, it did a good job.

I think my lashes look thick and full, so it did give me the volume that I wanted. Also it did a pretty good job when it comes to definition, allthough it couldn't reach the level of a really good rubbery brush. But still pretty close.
The Colossal waterproof holds my curl all day, that is the reason why I use waterproof in the first place. It's quite easy to remove too. Plus it gives me pretty lashes with volume. All this at a cheap price...You must like that!

The only thing that I don't like is that because the brush is relatively big, it's sometimes messy to use. I'm used to smaller rubbery brushes now and going back to a bigger regular one has increased the consumption of Q-tips in my household in the mornings :) But I don't mind, as long as the results are this good.
